Which Launch Is Successful?

This activity can be completed individually or in pairs.
The approximate time for completion is 15-30 minutes.
Students should be encouraged to use accurate terminology, appropriate vocabulary, and clarity of language in their explanations (See Student
Instruction #3).
Answers:
- a. Launch C is successful.
- b. The measure of < A (or <CAB) at liftoff is 90°.
- c. I used a protractor. The measure of < A in Launch A is 87°. The measure of < A in Launch B is 93°. Only Launch C has a measure of 90° for < A.
