Definition of Unsolicited and Solicited Proposals

Q: What are unsolicited proposals?

A: Proponents may submit, at any time, unsolicited proposals in line with CSA' priorities.  Projects are evaluated individually against the Program’s assessment criteria. They may be approved based on merit and availability of funds.

Q: What are solicited proposals?

A: Solicited proposals are submitted in response to a CSA, time-bound, Announcement of Opportunity to address certain themes and/or sectors of intervention and/or certain types of recipients. Projects are evaluated against the Program’s assessment criteria and in comparison with each other. Funds are set aside for this purpose.
